Saratoga Country Club - Membership - Activities

Saratoga Country Club’s Junior Golf Program provides an opportunity for all kids to enjoy this great game. Our program is split up into two main areas.

Saratoga has a Junior Golf Team, (member of Junior Golf Association of Northern California JGANC) that brings together talented juniors who compete for their Golf clubs in the greater Bay Area. The JGANC League includes Los Altos, Stanford, Sharon Heights, Olympic Club, Castlewood, Marin CC and others. Our coach is J.P. Rothman, assistant Golf Professional.

We also offer a Junior Development Program, which is geared toward the younger kids, those new to the sport, or those who may not be ready for competition. We include both instruction and fun, in a light hearted environment. The program is under the direction of Grant Barnes, Head Golf Professional at SCC. Along with his staff, there are several SCC members who give their time to help out and provide for a warm and caring atmosphere.

Saratoga also has an annual event called the “Junior / Senior Challenge”, where the Junior’s field a team to compete head to head with our Men’s Club. This is a very spirited event, and one the both the kids and adults look forward to each year.
